Travel by Wagon Train

Wagon Trains travel slowly. About 2 miles an hour on normal flat ground with few obstacles. It is much slower in mountains and hilly terrain. On a good day a wagon train can cover between 10 and 15 miles. If rushed a wagon train might be able to go 20 miles in a day but that would wear out the animals and might cause considerable damage to the wagons.

Cost to ship by wagon is 5 sp per 100# per day. Generally the entire fee is paid up front. This locks in a rate for the merchant and encourages the shipper to move quickly.
